Once people start to laugh, it's very difficult to make them stop again.

It's getting them started that can occasionally be a problem for Is It Legal? (ITV) - but not for me.

Some, I think, are disappointed that Simon Nye has not come up with another Men behaving Badly, but Debbie Wiseman's clever little theme tune (try na-na-na-ing that one after eight pints and a chicken madras) has long signalled a different intent. Only occasionally is it laugh-out-loud funny, but so what? Chuckles and smiles are good enough for me.
